As most of you know, OS X 10.5 Leopard is here and with a bucketload of new and/or improved features and functionalities. One neat little feature in Safari that I immediately started using is "Open this page in Dashboard" .
This new feature is shown as a button left of the "Add bookmark" button in the main toolbar. What´s neat with this feature is that you can cut out parts of a webpage and make that element into a dashboard widget. A perfect example of just how useful this is as follows. I try to commute to work every day with a local train instead of driving. All too often there are delays and cancellations that I only normally find out about when at the station. The railroad company has a webpage listing all delays that is a bit of a pain to navigate to (many steps). So I went to the page, filled in all the necessary information, got a result page showing current delays, used the "Open this page in dashboard" feature to cut out the results, added this as a dashboard widget and now I get updated information about delays whenever I launch dashboard. A truly great feature in Leopard!
